Organise care homes/residential homes to make sure that all the rooms are kept clean and tidy.

Prepare shift rotas and allocate daily cleaning duties to room attendants
Inspect rooms to make sure that standards have been met
Record any faults or damage and make arrangements for repairs
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Work closely with other department heads and the general manager
Salary range
From £24,870 to £27,000
Entry qualifications required
You don’t necessarily need any qualifications to become a housekeeper but it might be useful to have some previous experience in a similar role, or in a social care and health setting. It may also help to have some knowledge of health and safety in the workplace and of the issues faced by people who need care and support.
